LATEST NEWS (1/29/07):
\parAs seems to always be the case, the new issue of Monsters from the Vault won't ship on time. I was hoping to have the issue out by the end of the year to make it a three issue year but I just couldn't make it happen. As usual the demands of my real job and the constant short notice travel associated with it, plus the recent holidays have cut in to my MFTV time. I've also had numerous projects around the house that I couldn't put off any longer, and there's still more to be done. Finally, in September I switched from a Mac to a PC when it came time for a much needed computer upgrade and the transition has been more painful that I thought it would be. I also need to learn a new design program (Adobe InDesign) just as I was finally becoming comfortable with Adobe PageMaker. So I'm sorry to say that it will probably be late February before the new issue is published. So I'm once again sorry for another delay when it comes to a new issue of Monsters from the Vault (it seems to be a reoccurring theme), but I promise to get copies in our loyal reader's hands as soon as possible. I have some great material in the issue so I'm sure you won't be disappointed! I'll keep you posted on the progress.
\parEveryone associated with MFTV loves to hear from our readers; of course, you can write us a letter or send an e-mail, but you can also participate in the 2007 Rondo Awards (for the best of 2006). This year Monsters from the Vault is nominated for five awards ("Best Magazine," "Best Cover," and three "Best Article" nominations). The previous four years that the Rondo Awards have been held MFTV has received numerous nominations, however we've only managed one win to date (Gary Rhodes won "Best Article" for "Horror Film Crisis of 1932, Parts I and II" in 2003). Three out of the four previous years we've finished a close second to Video Watchdog in the "Best Magazine" category. So if you love Monsters from the Vault make sure your voice is heard by casting your vote in the 2007 Rondo Awards. Your vote may help Monsters from the Vault bring home its first Rondo for "Best Magazine" in 2007! So click on the link below and cast your vote today! The deadline for voting is March 10, 2007.
