LATEST NEWS (8/29/06):

     The remaining subscription, single issue orders, and contributor copies of Monsters from the Vault #22 went out in this morning's mail. Unfortunately, the quality issues I mentioned in the last news update (text too light, one photo and an ad on each copy had some botches [I'm told from low spots on the printing plates], hickies, bad lamination, ink smudges on front and back covers, and the trim being off on every copy I received [especially noticeable on the back cover, some much worse than others]) were present throughout. I handpicked the best copies all weekend to mail out, and while they're better than most, they still have many quality issues (especially the trim). The copies I sent are the BEST COPIES, and since no replacements will be printed they'll have to do. I actually have close to 500 copies that are so bad that I'll be recycling them. I haven't heard from the printer yet in regards to compensation, but as in the past I'm not expecting much. It looks like the quest for a new printer has begun (Anyone have any suggestions?). Once again, sorry for the quality issues, but as always I do the best I can, and I did all I could do to make sure our readers get the best possible copies.
